FOR KIDS AT ALL LEVELS OF ACTING, DRAMA AND PERFORMANCE - FOR STARTERS AND NEWCOMERS TO THOSE WITH STAGE OR SCREEN EXPERIENCE.
The Field Trip provides extraordinary adventures for young people, encouraging them to see the world with new eyes, empowering them to be the best version of themselves, the heroes of their own lives.
In April 2022 (9th and 10th), the first weekend of the April school holidays, the Field Trip will deliver a weekend for young people ages 9-16, to build confidence, play games, make friends, act, create, direct each other and develop acting and performance skills, run by local experienced (and credited) actors, playwrights, screenwriters, directors and playmakers.
The weekend will consist of theatre games, playmaking, acting and performance skill development, confidence on stage, playwrighting and screenwriting tips and filmmaking for those participants interested in screen and film work.
The weekend is facilitated by Michelle Dorian, who has produced, directed, acted, written and taught performance workshops. Michelle is a director for one of the pieces in the Walk With Us, Untold Castlemaine Production for the Castlemaine Theatre Company and is on the company's committee of management. Co-facilitator, Paul Kooperman, experienced drama teacher, youth theatre director, playwright and screenwriter, having written for Home and Away, lectured in story telling and screenwriting at Swinburne University and author of the books: "Script to Screen" and "Writing Short Film Scripts".

Cost of the weekend is $195 for the two days. Scholarships and discounts are available on an as-need basis. No one is turned away due to financial reasons.

Terms and Conditions of attendance
You must be at least aged 9 before camp begins.
You understand hours are 10am-4pm each day, please arrive on time (or 5 min early each day).
You agree to disclose fully and transparently all health issues and dietary requirements to help us prioritise your mental and physical health, safety and positive well-being at camp.
You come to camp with a positive attitude to participate fully with the program and other participants.
You give permission to be photographed during the weekend and photos can be used as promotion for Field Trip activities (with the assurance that names won't be attached and people in photos won't be identified).
You understand refunds are not given as a general rule, so please be sure you can and want to attend when you sign up.
