Expedition 001

Scotland

My heart's in the Highlands, wherever I go.

— Robert Burns

On the first expedition, we partner with Wildland. As custodians of 220,000 acres in the Scottish Highlands, they follow a 200-year vision of landscape-scale conservation and rehabilitation. Beneath Ben Loyal mountain, not far from the North Sea, their Kinloch lodge and the surrounding moorlands receive us as guests.

Over the course of three days, we’ll have time for rest, growth, community, and exploration. Experiencing the place through all senses, we’ll see the wild restoration, smell and taste ingredients the chef locally sources for our hearty shared meals, feel the warmth of the woodland sauna and the chill of a river dip. We’ll also dive into our personal landscapes, explore skill-building, and map out the intersections between community, wellbeing, and rewilding of place in creating a more restorative society.
